Treatment provision for clients with co-occurring needs has become increasingly complex in the 21st century. Workshop participants will review the main tenets of The Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act, as well as 42 CFR Part 2 that comprise the cornerstones of clinical practice for health, mental health, and substance abuse programs. A model of ethical decision making will be reviewed and applied to case studies.
