CRASH Drinking Driver Assessments and School
CRASH Drinking Driver Assessments and Schools provide the screening process and referral following license suspension resulting from a drinking and driving conviction. CRASH schools provide a structured weekday or weekend courses featuring lectures, films, and group discussions.
Assessment and Weekday Course
The weekday school is a four-week program offered Thursday evenings from 6:30-9:00 P.M. The fee for the weekly CRASH School is $400 ($180 for the assessment; $220 to attend the school). To enroll, please come to a one-hour-long initial information and enrollment meeting any Tuesday evening at 5:00 P.M., at the HowardCenter office, at 855 Pine Street in Burlington. At this time, you will be given all of the information that you will need to successfully complete the program. There is no fee for this initial meeting. However, $180.00 is due at the time of the follow-up individual assessment. The assessment, school, and exit can be completed in as little as six or seven weeks. Residential Weekend Course
The Residential Weekend Course begins with check-in and registration at 3:00 P.M. on Friday afternoon and ends by noon the following Sunday. The fee for the Residential Weekend Course is $600.00 and includes rooms and meals. The entire program, assessment through exit, is completed during the weekend, unless counseling is required.
