The DETER Project for Women
The DETER Project for Women is an initiative that hopes to keep young women out of the criminal justice system. It is the mission of the DETER Project to establish a system of support to reduce the number of women who cycle through the criminal justice system in Vermont. Through integrated treatment and services, participants are encouraged to address mental health issues relating to substance abuse and trauma, while establishing connections to the community and building natural supports. By becoming involved with the DETER Project, each young woman has the opportunity to start making positive changes in her life. For more information, contact Jessi Farnsworth at 802.488.6015.
