The image shows the famous "Whales Tails" sculpture near Burlington, Vermont. Two large black whale tails emerge from the ground, giving the impression of whales diving beneath the surface. In the background, there are lush green hills and mountains under a cloudy sky, capturing the scenic Vermont landscape. Access and Intake: Help is Here

Who We Help

Howard Center Access and Intake program provides easy access to mental health services for children, adults, and families. With one central phone number (802-488-6000), our program offers information, needs-based screenings, eligibility assessments, and intake evaluations for those seeking help.

How We Help

Anyone can call Access and Intake to learn more about our services. Our intake staff will answer questions, provide support, and connect you with the resources you need. If our services are a good fit, we’ll schedule an intake assessment. We offer telehealth, community-based care, and in-home services, as well as options at Howard Center offices.

After an intake assessment, intake navigators may provide short-term support until services are started or no longer needed.

Howard Center Access and Intake Multicultural Liaisons

We also have multicultural liaisons to assist individuals from refugee, resettled, and immigrant communities by reducing cultural barriers and explaining Howard Center services. We provide culturally appropriate care, including interpretation services.
