Howard Center Holds Job Fair on October 27

Burlington, VT— Howard Center will host a job fair on Thursday, October 27 from 4 – 7 p.m. at 208 Flynn Avenue in Burlington. Howard Center has a variety of positions available in several departments including facilities, school programs, residential, long-term supports and services, information management, crisis, and more. Visitors who attend the job fair will have the chance to talk with Howard Center’s experienced staff and learn first-hand about the organization’s rewarding career opportunities.

Heather Simmons, Howard Center’s Talent Acquisition Manager says, “Our most valuable resource is staff. We support them and offer great benefits, like training, health and dental insurance, and 36 paid days off in the first year. We are hoping for another successful job fair, and we are looking forward to meeting the people on October 27 who want to help make a difference in the lives of others and our community.”

Howard Center program staff and Talent Consultants will be on-hand to provide information about current openings, flexible work schedules, recently enhanced competitive compensation, and an excellent benefits package. Howard Center encourages job fair visitors to bring a copy of their resume, curriculum vitae (CV), or work experience summary. Kiosks will be provided for on-site applications. Free on-site parking is available, and refreshments will be provided.

Information will also be available about becoming a Shared Living Provider. Shared Living Providers are contracted through Howard Center to provide housing and valuable support to adults with developmental disabilities served by the agency. While they are not Howard Center employees, there will be information for interested individuals and families to participate in this opportunity to connect with an individual client.
