Howard Center Welcomes New Chief Financial Officer

Burlington, VT— Howard Center is pleased to announce the appointment of Steven Maneely as the agency’s new Chief Financial Officer. Maneely will assume CFO responsibilities held by Sandra McGuire, who becomes Chief Executive Officer on June 1.

A lifelong Vermonter and Chittenden County resident, Maneely joined Howard Center in 2017 and currently serves as the agency’s Senior Finance Manager. His previous roles include Senior Accountant at Stowe Mountain Resort and Financial Accountant at Pathways to Housing. He holds a bachelor’s in business administration from UVM and is currently enrolled in the MBA program at Champlain College. His volunteer activities include membership on the finance committee at the Schoolhouse Learning Center and he is a former member of the finance committee at Pathways Vermont.

“Steven has been a valuable member of our finance team and Howard Center is fortunate to have him as our new CFO,” said Sandy McGuire, incoming CEO of Howard Center. “He is deeply knowledgeable about our agency and his experience working with our finance team and leadership make him an ideal candidate for the position.”

With this appointment, Maneely joins Howard Center’s Executive Leadership Team, where he will provide agency-level oversight and collaborate closely with the Board of Trustees. Maneely takes his new post on June 1.
